Fall Activities in Central Wisconsin

With the leaves changing and temperatures cooling off, we know fall is finally here! In Central Wisconsin there are so many great fall activities in our own backyard. We’ve put together a few of our fall favorites and hope you have time to enjoy some of them this season!

Helene’s Apple Orchard

Just outside of Merrill and about 15-20 minutes from Wausau, this apple orchard is a family favorite for picking fresh apples for homemade baking or visiting their local store for delicious apple deserts, jams and more. They also have a fun play area - great for kids for an afternoon of fun.

Wilke’s Diary Farm - Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

Take a chance wandering through the corn maze or pick up a pumpkin for carving… either way, there’s plenty to do outdoors on this 10 acre corn maze course. Plus they have haunted corn mazes and haunted hay rides if you’re up for an evening excursion, be sure to check them out!

Granite Peak Fall Chair Lift Rides

Enjoy the beautiful fall colors from a birds eye view! This is one of our favorites and is ideal during peak colors in late September / early October.

Scenic Hike at Nine Mile County Park

Over 4,900 acres with intricate trail system for mountain bikers, walkers, hikers, skiers (during winter) and more! This time of a year the trails are absolutely breathtaking with the fall colors and crisp air. If you like being outdoors, this is one great county park to check out.

There are so many more actives we could share, and so many fun flavors to enjoy this time of year... these four made the top of our list and we hope they make yours this year!
